Whoever wins the battle will win the two cards, as usual, and those additional cards. You’ll both place either one or three cards in front of you from the pile and then draw the next card for the battle.
If you turn over the card of the same rank, this is when the war happens. Whoever picks up more cards by the end of the hand is the winner.
